Role Description

We are looking for founding backend engineers to help us on our mission to build the best CI/CD security platform. You will build and maintain backend systems and CI/CD pipeline components (GitHub Actions) for StepSecurity. We primarily use Golang and Node.js. This is a high-impact role as your contributions will be used by thousands of developers from reputed organizations globally. You will set the standard for best practices and own engineering processes for the StepSecurity systems. You will partner closely with other engineers in the team to deliver a world class experience to StepSecurity customers. This is a full-time remote position based out of India.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions.
  • Design, architect, and implement CI/CD Components (GitHub Actions)
  • Deliver features incrementally in quick iterations
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, ensuring timely resolution.




Qualifications

  • 2+ years of enterprise hands-on backend experience
  • Strong proficiency in Golang and/or Node.js
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of scalable and fault-tolerant systems
  • Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills
  • Driven, self-motivated, and creative-thinker always on the lookout for ways to improve or enhance current state
  • Experience working in a startup or high-impact, outcome-driven environment
