QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

Work as part of an agile development team within our Financial Crime Prevention Product Engineering teamDeliver quality assured automation scripts using web & API (REST/SOAP) based automation tools (. Selenium, RestAssured)Coordinate with developers to build and execute test cases for new or updated Product FeaturesParticipate in daily scrum calls and use the body of knowledge to explain progress and propose possible solutions for blockersWork with the leads to help collate quality metrics, and contribute to measures intended to increase automated test effectiveness and efficiencyInvestigate root causes of functional issues and providing corrective actions

Requirements

Design and develop automation scripts using automation tools (. Selenium, RestAssured)Familiarity with any automated test framework preferably Cucumber, BDD etc. and should have contributed to the development/implementation of automation test toolsScripting and executing functional and non-functional testsExperience using defect and test management tools (. JIRA) to track defects and manage testsSome work experience using Web Services (REST/GraphQL)Experience working with Continuous Integration tools (. Jenkins, Team City) and has high level knowledge of Infrastructure as CodeExperience with writing Java codeExperience of creating a test automation framework from scratchAbility to define a test automation strategyTest case design and execution to meet functional / use case requirementsExperience with AQA team managementSupervise others or make decisions that impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projectsDemonstrate effective communication skillsThink out of the boxTake ownership and responsibility through involvement in decision-makingEffective teamwork organization

Desirable

Experience working with version control systems (. Git)Experience with Nightwatch and SaucelabsSome work experience using LinuxSome work experience using Application servers (WebSphere or Tomcat or JBOSS)Experience using IDEs (. IntelliJ, VScodeKnowledge of Microservices architecture & Cloud Serverless technologiesShould have worked on projects using Agile framework (understand stories, contribute during planning and refinements)
