Investment Lead – Deep-Tech, Dual-Use, Aerospace

IndusBridge Ventures (IBV) is an investment fund with a focus on the Aerospace and Defence (A&D) and dual-use technology. Founded by an international team with decades of operational and investment experience in the global A&D sector, IBV invests in and builds cross-border ventures in these strategic sectors and actively supports portfolio companies with cross-border go-to-market helping them scale and succeed globally. Role: Lead end-to-end investment processes, mentor early-stage companies, and work with a network of stakeholders to drive IBV’s vision. This is a strategic role, requiring industry expertise, ability to assess and execute deep-tech investments, a proven track record of investments and exits in the venture capital/private equity space and a collaborative approach to building successful businesses. Key Responsibilities Investment Leadership: Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with IBV’s focus sectors – dual-use technology, aerospace and defense. Identify high-quality investment opportunities through rigorous research, industry relationships, and proactive deal sourcing. Due Diligence & Decision-Making: Lead technical and market assessments, financial analysis, and risk evaluations for potential investments. Oversee preparation of investment memos and make informed recommendations to the investment committee. Oversee due diligence, investment terms and documentation. Portfolio Development: Act as a strategic advisor to portfolio companies, assisting them in defining business strategies, building teams, addressing operational challenges and go-to-market. Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities for follow-on investments. Development and execution of exit strategies for investments, working closely with portfolio company management teams and other stakeholders. Industry Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with industry leaders, research institutions, venture capital investor ecosystem and government stakeholders to strengthen IBV’s position in the ecosystem. Represent IBV in conferences and contribute to shaping the discourse around innovation in aerospace, defense, and deep-tech sectors. Team Mentorship & Development: Mentor Associates and Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the investment team. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degrees are a plus. Experience: 8+ years in venture capital, private equity with a strong track record of investments and successful exits. A focus on deep-tech, dual-use technologies, advanced manufacturing and aerospace and defense sectors is required. Skills: Strong technical acumen to evaluate complex technologies. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors. Proven track record of leading investments and supporting portfolio companies to successful outcomes. Team building – Mentor and guide investment team members, sharing investment expertise and providing development opportunities. Why IBV?
