Location India Maharashtra Pune Company Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery India Private Limited Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Compression Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Early Professional A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead on aftermarket centrifugal compression projects.You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams tackling challenging projects relatedto the transformation of the oil and gas industry.The successful candidate will have an interest and competency in project execution and will assume aleadership role within a collaborative engineering team including, but not limited to, a project manager,product design engineer, package/systems engineer, drafting, core technology specialist, and servicecenter/factory assembly team, customer and suppliers as required.How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)? Managing the scope of complex projects, specifically ensuring the execution team delivers on thetechnical obligations of our contracts throughout the concept & basic engineering, detaileddesign, production, and field commissioning phases.? Leading specification review and commenting during the pre-contract phase and then ensuringspecification adherence throughout the actual order execution.? Leading technical communications with Clients, including, but not limited to, scope clarifications,formal document transmittals, product design reviews, etc.? Moderating the collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines within and outside the matrixedorganization to meet project deliverables and milestones.? Creating and maintaining the technical cadence of assigned execution project team, including redflagging and expediting resolution of unresolved technical issues for the team.? Deciding on and ultimately overseeing when agile processes are merited to flex between“baseline processes” and “special circumstance processes” to best support project cycle time.What You Bring (requirements)? Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical/Aerodynamic, orequivalent degrees from an ABET accredited college/university will be considered).? An interest and competency in project execution, ability to be a team player, and an aptitude forproviding leadership within a collaborative engineering team.? Prior project engineering experience.? Possess and demonstrates a high degree of tact and professionalism; capable of interacting withManagement, Peers, Shop Personnel, and Clients.? Experience with rotating machinery, preferably centrifugal compressors.? Broad technical background, high attention to detail, and excellent written and oralcommunication skills.? Good organizational and time management skills.? A nimble, flexible, adaptable, creative, and resilient mindset.? Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity.? Good computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-Point) and basic 2D/3D CAD.? Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, with short notice. Travel is variable andas needed but estimated in the range of 10-20% per year.? Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees withcurrent visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
