Designation:PortfolioReconciliation


Therole of the Associate Portfolio Reconciliations encompassesendtoend exception management accomplished through varioussystematic written and verbal interactions with Operational TeamsFront Office and Middle Office Teams as well as Custodian Banks.The primary focus of the position is timely and accuratereconciliation of accounts across multiple business linesmaintenance of the overall quality and accuracy of assignedprocesses and preparation of ad hoc statisticalreports
KeyResponsibilities andDuties

  • Assistwith the monitoring of the Reconciliation Tool and any associatedapplications daily to ensure all exception arecaptured
  • Ensurecash and positions for respective Funds/Portfolios are reconciledaccurately efficiently and on a timely basis with custodians andother external parties as well as across multiple internalsystems
  • Uponidentifying and analyzing exceptions ensure necessary correctiveaction is assigned to responsible parties logged and prioritizedforresolution
  • Interfacewith internal and external business teams to identify root cause ofexceptions and trackresolution
  • Developa significant level of expertise of the holdings terms andtransactions of all Funds/Portfolios to ensure accuracy of thereconciliationsprocess
  • Ensureadherence to compliance and regulatoryrequirements
  • Ensureall process and audit trail documentation is uptodate at alltimes
  • Identifyescalate and thereby proactively manage process/deliveryrisks
  • Respondto numerous ad hoc requests from internal and external clients foradditionalinformation
  • Assistwith the updating of the Reconciliation Tool and any associatedapplications to reflect changes in business processes as and whenrequired
  • Performtesting for updates to Reconciliation Tool and any associatedapplications
  • Maintainand provide timely and accurate MI of process performance andrisk
  • Assistwith ad hoc duties asassigned

RequiredExperience:

  • InvestmentBanking / Asset Management Industry experience in an offshoredoperationsenvironment.
  • Workingknowledge of investment instruments i.e. Fixed Income EquitiesDerivatives Foreign Exchangeetc.
  • WorkingKnowledge of securities processes i.e. Corporate Actions TradeOperations and SecuritiesLending

SkillsandAbilities:

  • Demonstratedability to analyze processes and proven attention todetail
  • Goodproblem solving skills and strong commitment to procedures andcontrols
  • Abilityto work & function independently in a teamorientedcollaborativeenvironment
  • Multitaskingand prioritization in a high pressureenvironment
  • Interpersonaland relationship buildingskills
  • Experienceusing Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel &Access)
  • Verygood communication skills written andverbal

  • Experienceusing Portia Electra Recon and Eagle PACE/Star is aplus
