About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer with 4+ years of expertise in writing optimized queries, building and maintaining data pipelines, and developing dashboards to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development skills, proven experience in performance tuning, and a background in building insightful reports using BI tools.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Design and maintain scalable SQL pipelines to support reporting and analytics.
  • Work closely with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate them into database solutions.
  • Build and deliver interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI / Tableau / Excel.
  • Perform data validation, cleaning, and transformation to ensure high-quality data.
  • Monitor query performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing improvements for efficiency.
  • Automate repetitive SQL processes to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time.
  • Support cross-functional teams with ad-hoc data extraction and analysis.
  • Ensure data security, consistency, and integrity across environments.

  • Document processes, queries, and dashboards for long-term maintainability.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL development (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Strong expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, and database troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, dashboards).
  • Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and validation using SQL and Excel.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, schema design, and indexing strategies.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, charts, pivot tables).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend).

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation.
