Job Title: Test Manager Location: Hybrid (Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Trichy, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Noida ) Experience: 10+ years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Test Manager to define, implement, and manage the overall testing strategy and quality assurance (QA) framework for IT systems and applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, security, and compliance with financial regulations before release. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 1. Strategy, Planning, and Governance Develop Test Strategy: Define the comprehensive end-to-end test strategy and detailed test plans (including resource planning, budgeting, and timelines) for projects, programs, and BAU (Business As Usual) deliveries, aligning with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize testing risks, and develop mitigation strategies (e.G., risk-based testing) to ensure critical financial functions are thoroughly vetted. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all testing activities comply with industry-specific regulations such as AML/KYC, GDPR, PCI-DSS, or local central bank/financial authority directives. Entry/Exit Criteria: Define and enforce clear entry and exit criteria for all test phases (System Test, SIT, UAT, Performance, Security) and ensure formal sign-off before Go-Live. 2. Execution Oversight and Quality Control Test Phases Management: Oversee the execution of all planned test phases, including functional, system integration (SIT), user acceptance (UAT), regression, performance/load, and security testing. Defect Management: Implement and manage a structured defect lifecycle process (logging, tracking, prioritization, resolution, and reporting) to ensure timely resolution of issues. Test Environment and Data: Coordinate the planning, setup, and maintenance of stable test environments and manage the creation/provisioning of appropriate, compliant test data (e.G., using data masking for sensitive data). Quality Metrics: Track performance against key quality assurance metrics (e.G., defect counts, defect leakage, test coverage, and execution progress) to provide data-driven insights. 3. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test leads, test analysts, and automation engineers (which may include on-shore, off-shore, or vendor resources). Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all testing matters, providing clear, factual, and concise status reports (MI Reporting) to senior management, business partners, developers, and product owners. Vendor Management: Manage and coordinate testing activities with third-party vendors, System Integrators (SIs), and external partners, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon quality standards and SLAs. 4. Automation and Process Improvement Automation Strategy: Champion the adoption and expansion of test automation, enhancing existing frameworks (e.G., Selenium, Cypress, Java/Python, CI/CD pipelines) to increase efficiency and speed up regression testing cycles. Continuous Improvement: Research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and best practices (e.G., Shift-Left testing, continuous testing within DevOps) to drive efficiency and raise the overall quality maturity level of the organization. ️ Required Skills and Experience Domain Overall 10 years+ (ideal) with 5+ years of experience in Test Management within the Financial Services sector (Banking, Payments, Wealth Management, Insurance). Deep understanding of core financial applications (e.G., Core Banking, Payment Processing, Risk/AML platforms). Technical Expertise in developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, and managing a full SDLC/Agile testing lifecycle. Strong knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks (e.G., Selenium, Cypress, Java, Python, Postman). Proficiency with Test Management and Defect Tracking Tools (e.G., JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM). Experience with Non-Functional Testing (Performance, Security, Disaster Recovery). Soft Skills Exceptional Leadership and Team Management abilities.
