We’re seeking future team members for our Engineering business with roles located in Chennai and Pune in HYBRID positions.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
We are looking for a mid-level developer who will be working as part of a team of developers within Tax area in BNYM’s Custody organization.
This is a 100% hands-on development role that does not involve team or project management. The primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following: working on Xceptor implementation, performing unit/integration testing, writing automated test cases, supporting QA/UAT testing, working as part of an Agile Scrum team, supporting the system in production, working in a collaborative manner with Product, Tax Operations, and other engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in a financial field ideally in Custody and/or Tax processing & documentation
- Strong relational database knowledge, SQL tuning, Stored procedures, etc.
- 2-3 years of API development experience, REST/Graph QL API development & Integration experience
- 5 years of using IBM MQ or any other message broker (e.g., ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and working experience in DevOps (CICD pipeline, automated deployments, Git source code management, Liquibase, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and working experience in Agile Scrum methodology.
- Experience using Jira as part of Agile
- Java experience of 3-5 years is sufficient.
- Experience building automated tests and using automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium & Cucumber
- Working knowledge of data formats such as XML and JSON
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Xceptor (If a person doesn’t know the tool he/she will be required to take training classes and get certified in Xceptor)
- .Net knowledge/experience is helpful but not required since the system is implemented on .Net platform using .Net tech stack
- Understanding monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Moogsoft
