Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex and interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations that meet specific business requirements

- Partner with business users to gather and document their data needs and translate them into actionable visualizations

- Analyze data from various sources (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, cloud applications) and build efficient data models using SQL for optimal reporting


- Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, ensuring fast loading times and smooth user experience

- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance (QA) to guarantee data accuracy and functionality of dashboards

- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Tableau, including new features, best practices, and integrations

- Collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of Tableau dashboards into existing applications (if applicable)

- Document Tableau work clearly and concisely for future reference

- Train and mentor junior developers on best practices for data visualization with Tableau

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining complex dashboards and reports using Tableau

- Proven ability to translate business requirements into impactful data visualizations

- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices

- In-depth knowledge of SQL for data analysis and data model creation

- Experience with connecting Tableau to various data sources (databases, APIs, etc.)

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business users and technical teams

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Passion for data and creating user-centric visualizations

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud for enterprise deployments

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and terminology

- Experience with scripting languages (e. g., Python, R) for data manipulation (a plus)

- Experience with other data visualization tools (e. g. , Power BI, Qlik) is a plus

- Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist or equivalent is a plus
