Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee and ensure that bookkeeping for all clients is handled timely, correctly, and with accuracy . The candidate should possess strong expertise in Tally and Zoho and act as a mentor and guide for junior accountants , ensuring adherence to best accounting practices. The role also requires regular monitoring and reviewing of client books to maintain high accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping for all PokketCFO clients.
- Review and monitor the financial records, transactions, and ledgers of clients on a regular basis.
- Guide and mentor junior accountants in bookkeeping best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Identify and rectify errors in accounting records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tally and Zoho Books , ensuring seamless financial operations.
- Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary documents and resolve queries related to bookkeeping.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting for clients.
- Stay updated on tax regulations, GST, TDS, and other compliance requirements impacting bookkeeping and reporting.
- Work closely with the finance and compliance teams to ensure proper reconciliations and financial data integrity .
- 5+ years of experience in accounting & bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Tally and Zoho Books is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of junior accountants.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance .
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while ensuring accuracy.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
