Job Title: Principal

Qualification: Post Graduate in any stream with B. Ed / M. Ed

Reports to: Director of the WPS

Dept./School: Campus as assigned

Primary Purpose:

1. Direct and manage instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level.2. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service.3. Oversee compliance with local/state policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities.4. To work as the P&N head of the institute.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree from recognized university (Full Time)

2. Bachelor/Master of Education

3. Experience as required under anyone of the following clauses:

1. At least 3 years experience of administrative charge of a recognized College having Intermediate or higher classes.2. At least 5 years experience of administrative charge of a recognized High School.3. At least 5 years experience of teaching in a recognized college or Higher Secondary School or an equivalent teaching experience in a Teachers Training Institute.4. At least 8 years teaching experience in a recognized High School.5. At least 5 years experience including 3years educational administrative experience and 2 years teaching experience in a recognized High or Higher Secondary School or a Teachers Training Institute

Experience, knowledge & alignment:

1. A deeply held belief in Dr. Vishwanath Karad World Peace School’s mission;2. Leadership experience (min 4 – 5 years); a track record of successfully leading education provision in challenging contexts, delivering great outcomes for all students, regardless of background or prior attainment3. Specific experience of CBSE affiliated schools4. Experience and understanding of the learning and emotional needs of students across grades5. Sound knowledge of current international thinking and best practice in educational achievement6. Evidence of strategic leadership of continuing professional development (in-service training) for teachers or education professionals7. Track record of successfully engaging with others in a diverse community, building positive and productive working relationships8. Handling the P&L functions of the school with ability to manage budget and personnel9. Ability to Interpret Data and implement policies and procedures.10. Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Analytical skills in particular the use of data to diagnose strengths and weaknesses and inform education improvement strategies9. Enthusiasm for taking on a start-up role, in what will be a fast-paced, growing, changing network10. Flexible and adaptable style, responding positively to changing demands.11. Proficient in Handling IT Platforms and Virtual Schooling such as ‘Google Classroom’ and ‘MS – Team’ and ERP technologies.
