Process Safety (SHE & Sustainability Focus)

Location: International Market East Region
Reports to: Safety, Process Safety and Sustainability Manager, IM East

Ecolab is seeking a Process Safety Lead to drive excellence in process safety across 18 manufacturing facilities in 4 East region markets. This strategic role within the Global Technical Organization (GTO) is pivotal in implementing and sustaining world-class process safety systems, reducing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations.

You will lead initiatives that enhance process safety performance, support digital transformation in KPI tracking, and collaborate with market HPN leads to embed a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of process safety programs aligned with Ecolabs global standards.
  • Drive reduction in process safety incidents by implementing robust risk management strategies and technical controls.
  • Collaborate with market HPN leads and operations teams to ensure consistent application of process safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct and support HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) and ECAP audits to identify and mitigate process risks.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in systems and procedures to minimize hazardous potential.
  • Develop and deliver process safety training programs to build technical competency across facilities.
  • Support the creation and review of technical documentation related to process safety standards and incident prevention.
  • Utilize digital tools to streamline KPI reporting and enhance visibility into process safety performance.
  • Expand and maintain PDCA dashboards for efficient monitoring of process safety metrics.
  • Align regional efforts with global process safety strategies through collaboration with GTO networks.
  • Promote integration of process safety with sustainability initiatives to ensure safer and more environmentally responsible operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related technical field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in process safety within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of process safety principles, risk assessment methodologies, and incident prevention strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and MS Office tools.
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI for visual reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supply chain or operations within a safety-critical industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Multilingual communication skills.
