About us

Care.Fi is working at the intersection of two big industries – healthcare and finance. We are passionate about saving lives, challenging legacy systems, and making money (:p). We believe the next revolution in the Indian start-up ecosystem would be in the Health-Fintech vertical.


To that end, we are building a revenue cycle management tool for hospitals to help solve for their delayed cashflows through a layer of tech-enabled tool built on top of our financing engine.

We are a fun, young, ambitious group of ex-entrepreneurs, generalists, Biz Dev folks, and engineers from top institutes of the country (IIMs, IITs, BITS, Ashoka, etc.). We have previously built and scaled products to $100M Business across HealthTech and FinTech.


We are looking for a like-minded individual to join our clinical underwriting team. This team helps us decode the Insurance policy, and predict whether the clinical diagnosis (provided by the hospital/Doctor) would be covered under the insurance or not. This is a super-important role for us which helps us manage our NPAs

 

Role Description

You will work very closely with the clinical team lead and BU head to help build out the new vertical for revenue cycle management at Care.fi

Cross-functional at the core, the role would be a mix of Strategy, Clinical underwriting, Insurance underwriting, Execution, and firefighting when needed at different levels to drive growth.

You would work on various problems, such as but not limited to:

  • Day-to-day operations – health policy decoding, generating approval letter, understanding clinical diagnosis, estimating cost
  • Working with hospital KOLs and stakeholders to ensure good customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring proper TAT for clinical underwriting team
  • Working with BU heads to provide inputs for improving product and new product development


P.S. – This is a 3 month internship, with an option to convert full-time basis performance of the individual.

P.P.S – We are open to folks working in hybrid environments. Our office is in Gurugram – if you visit us once a week, we would be glad ;p

 

Who you are

  • An ideal candidate will come from a healthcare background – MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Pharma, BDS, etc or an Insurance background
  • Good with Microsoft Office
  • First principles thinker with a strong “bias-for-action”
  • Strong work ethic and team skills
  • Good communicator - verbal & written
  • 0–2 year experience
  • Available for an internship of atleast 3 months, starting immediately
