Job Objective:The Back End Developer will be part of the team managing and supporting Nouryon’s Digital Support Devops team. We are seeking a highly skilled Back End Developer to ensure the upkeep of high-quality custom web applications on Microsoft technologies of our Web based enterprise applications. This includes ensuring alignment with business needs, compliance with industry best practices, and delivering outstanding application experience.This role is responsible for driving the technical success of backend application for accelerating software development and maintaining multiple applications.The team will work in a Devops methodology and team’s efforts will be prioritized and coordinated by the Product Owner /Team Lead /Scrum Master.At Nouryon, our global team of Changemakers takes positive action every day, to reach higher collectively and individually. About the job (Job Responsibilities)Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate and understand their requirements.Expert knowledge of object-oriented architecture and design patterns for building highly scalable applicationsContribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization and management.Identify and escalate any application issues or risks to the team and provide suggestions for resolution.Continuously improve development processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of development activities .Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to their emerging demands.Driving innovation/adoption of Industry practices through investigation/institutionalization of new tools/methods/standards.Ability to take a mock or concept and turn it into a working experience.Create documents and make sure that they are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders.Participate in estimation of User Stories in Story points and commit the efforts required.Develop to cover all user stories acceptance criteria and honor timely deliveries.Understanding of content management system (CMS) like Episerver/OptimiselyResolve production incidents or defects as needed, and proactively identify potential issues. before they appear in the production environment; contribute to the root cause analysis.Drive high performance and accountability for own deliverables.Actively participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies e.g. daily stand-up, Sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements etc.Collaborate with other team members to achieve the sprint objectives.Drive continual service improvements.Drive knowledge sharing efforts in organizationPeriodic standby for emergencies (24x7 availability schedule)

We believe you bring (Education & Experience)Master / bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Knowledge of some of the tools /platform such as ASP.NET MVC ,Razor ,C# ,Web.config transforms .Expertise in designing and optimizing databases using SQL .Episerver-Episerver CMS,Episerver Commerce,Episerver Find,Episerver Forms,Episerver Content Delivery API,Episerver Deployment API,Episerver DXP, REST API. Azure-Oauth, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps, Azure PipelinesExperience in inRiver -Control center,Enrich,Rest API is an added advantageProficiency in version control systems like Git, including branching and merging strategiesProficient with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and knowledge of automated deployment strategies and best practicesUnderstanding of security best practices for building and maintaining secure backend systemsKnowledge of Cloud Technologies especially Azure, Solutions Development, Digital ExperienceFamiliarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog\Experience with centralized logging solutions like ELK stack or SplunkExperience working in Agile or Devops teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentA minimum of 8 years working experience(Core Competencies for the role)General IT interest - Keen interest in digital technology and Microsoft platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex backend issues .Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools and practices .User Experience - Calls attention to issues that impact customer satisfaction; views from the end-user perspective.Taking responsibility - Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development; openly discusses his/her actions and their consequences both good and bad. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to team leadership activities.

(Other requirements)Fluent in written and spoken EnglishWillingness to travel internationally from time to time as part of the role (eg Netherlands, Sweden, China, US)
