Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager/Manager - B2B Sales will be instrumental in driving the growth of a new vertical at Truemeds, assisting in the development of a new engine for topline acceleration and inventory rationalisation. This involves managing relationships with business clients such as distributors, pharmacies, and hospitals, focusing on the sales of generic medicines. The role requires identifying opportunities, crafting strategies for long-term partnerships, and expanding the B2B customer base.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement B2B sales strategies to achieve company targets, focusing on the distribution of generic medicines to healthcare institutions, pharmacies, distributors, and institutional buyers.2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify potential B2B customers, negotiate deals, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key clients to ensure consistent business growth.3. Market Research & Business Development: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth in the generic medicine sector and develop initiatives to increase the company’s market share.4. Sales Reporting & Data Analysis: Track sales performance, using MS Excel and other tools to analyse sales data, generate insights, and create reports for management.5. Process Optimization & Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure efficient sales operations, resolve any client concerns, and optimise the B2B sales process.

Qualifications needed

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience and requirements

- 3-4 years of experience as a Medical Representative (MR) or in sales at a generic medicine manufacturing company or a major distributor of generic medicines- Strong knowledge of the medicine supply chain and experience selling to suppliers, vendors, and distributors- A passion for sales and a proactive attitude, with a willingness to work directly in the field- Flexibility to travel and meet vendors daily to drive sales growth

Skills

- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and clients effectively.- Intermediate experience in MS Excel and data analysis.- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
