Overview:

The Principal Engineer will be a key technical leader within our organization, responsible for driving the architecture and technical direction of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, systems architecture, and a strong ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. The Principal Engineer will work closely with stakeholders, including product management, engineering teams, and executive leadership, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance across projects.

- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

- Lead technical reviews, including design and code reviews, to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability.

- Identify and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the development process and product capabilities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.

- Advocate for and implement technical strategies that support scalability, performance, and security.

- Lead complex engineering projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.

- Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.

- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Play a key role in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineers.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.

- Facilitate collaboration across teams to drive innovation and problem-solving.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on architecture and design.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of software development processes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to think strategically and align technical decisions with business goals.

- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

- Familiarity with Java, Go and SQL

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
