Job Title : Analog Layout Engineer

Job Description :

As an Analog Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for the physical design and layout of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). You will work closely with circuit designers to translate schematic designs into optimized layouts, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities :

Layout Design : Create detailed layouts for analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuits, including transistors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and other components.

Schematic to Layout : Interpret and translate circuit schematics into physical layout designs.

Design Optimization : Optimize layout for performance, including minimizing parasitics, ensuring matching of critical devices, and optimizing for area and power consumption.

Verification : Perform layout versus schematic (LVS) and design rule checks (DRC) to ensure the accuracy and manufacturability of designs.

- Collaboration : Work closely with circuit design engineers to understand design requirements and constraints.

- Tape-out Preparation : Prepare and review layout data for tape-out and coordinate with fabrication facilities.

- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of layout designs and modifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Educational Background : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.

- Experience : Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal IC layout design, with proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys).

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of CMOS technology and semiconductor physics.

- Knowledge of analog layout techniques, including matching, common centroid, and shielding.

- Familiarity with layout parasitics and their impact on circuit performance.

- Experience with LVS, DRC, and other verification processes.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
