Job Summary

Company is seeking candidates with 2-4 years of prior work experience (preferably in renewable energy sector) for expanding its legal team to assist the growing business. The position will be based in Pune reports to General Counsel and will be part of Legal Team which provides support business stakeholders on the full gamut contracts, land due diligence and purchase, compliance & regulatory matters, and litigations.


Job Description

This role will be accountable for:

  • Advise business stakeholders on all legal, compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Drafting, review and negotiation of various commercial contracts, including high value long term commercial contracts, related documentation and correspondences.
  • Assist and advise Business team on land acquisition and review and draft land related documents.
  • Management of ongoing litigations.
  • Review correspondences with regulatory bodies and interface with them when required.
  • Supervise and liaise with outside counsel and stakeholders on all company related matters
  • Prepare and circulate Monthly Information System (MIS) on litigation. Manage and upkeep litigation and other legal documents. Ensure timely processing of legal bills and prepare MIS for bills.
  • Ensure Ethics & Compliance screening of Legal vendors and registration of vendors.


Skill

  • Prior in-house/law firm experience with an infrastructure or energy company/ firm practice will be an advantage.
  • Possess excellent English written and verbal communication and drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Attention to details, ability to work independently as well as with a cross function team and do multi-tasking.


Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • LLB/LLM qualified from reputed institution
  • Valid Bar membership and qualifications

Travel Required: From time to time, on requirement basis to attend Court hearings.
