SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Must handle independently Client management on Contractual & Commercial matters related to Change orders, day to day Correspondences, claims, time extensions, payment issues follow-up, etc.  Techno-commercial acumen Drafting, vetting and negotiating business agreements and documents i.e. Customer contracts, confidentiality agreements, guarantees, indemnities, etc. Self-starter with ability to demonstrate results. Must be organized and detail oriented. Work effectively with peers in a multi‐disciplinary environment.

NDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Exposure to project contracts or subcontracts, preferably Heavy manufacturing industry or oil & gas projects. Understanding on contractual/legal/statutory compliances/EXIM. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts is preferred

ROLE DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure adherence to established Contracts management procedures. Review and analyze commercial and contractual aspects of Contract documents.  Support Project Manager in all contractual discussions with the client. Developing effective working relationships with clients. Support project team on contract administration throughout the project lifecycle (on change orders, scope extensions, FIM delays, additional scope, and other contractual matters) Identification of Contractual risks and proposing risk mitigation plans. Conducting risk review meetings internally & with client. Analyze reasons for delays and disruptions, identify client related reasons and issue timely notification and change orders to the client in consultation with the Project Manager Supporting SCM: Converting project specific requirements on technical, commercial, SCM or of other functions into contractual terms & obligations Listing salient features, rights, obligations, and liabilities under the contract and making detailed presentation to execution team. Negotiating with the customers for mutually acceptable terms for change orders. Administration of bank guarantees and Insurances, monitor renewal and closure of BG’s & insurance policies.  Coordination with yard teams, legal, finance, insurance taxation for validation and inputs on relevant contractual aspects to ensure contracts are accepted as per risk management guidelines and that there are no profit leakages and commercial costs are optimized. Pre-bid review and evaluation of commercial terms of Tender Documents, assessment of potential contractual and commercial risk, collating inputs from Legal, F&A and Insurance Team, combining queries and deviations, preparation of Risk Matrix, negotiating with client on deviations.  Create, analyze, negotiate, and execute an array of contracts for various transactions.
