We are hiring for Deputy Managing Editor skill for CryptoNewsZ which is a pioneer news media house covering news & events from the crypto and  blockchain industry

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

A Deputy Managing Editor combines the innovativeness of a writer with the practical focus of an operations manager. You should be able to suggest ideas for stories and see them through to publication. We expect excellent organizational and leaderships skills as well as a unique problem-solving ability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the performance of Editors/Copy Editors, offering feedback, and presenting progress updates.
  • Serving as the quality control representative for the journal, ensuring alignment with established style guidelines.
  • Verifying factual accuracy when required and discussing any concerns with the Managing Editor.
  • Highlighting potential issues related to plagiarism, animal ethics, patient consent, and the manipulation of figures.
  • Conducting individual sessions with team members to offer guidance, ensuring they receive proper training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Performing initial and subsequent edits on articles, and evaluating authors & responses to edits and editorial feedback.
  • This role is brand new and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced journal editor ready to lead a dedicated team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A biomedical science degree and at least one year of editing experience is mandatory
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering top-tier language and copy edits along with a thorough understanding of journal standards and protocols.
  • Leadership qualities with the drive to inspire and guide a team.
  • Capability to uphold top-notch standards while adhering to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, coupled with exceptional communication abilities.
