Acquisition Editor, Clinical Medicine

The Role:
We are currently looking for a bright, self-motivated, hard-working individual for a Science Editor Position. This candidate will be primarily responsible for working with Guest Editors and authors and bringing in new content to the journal.
Responsibilities:
- Contact potential Guest Editors by phone/email and work with them to build Methods Collections
- Work with Guest Editors to recruit authors and assist those authors with the manuscript submissions
- Developing various projects to streamline departmental workflows
Requirements:
- MD/PhD with experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent English written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently once given a project
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
