Position Overview:
As a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Specialist at you Biocon will play a key role in advancing our DEIB initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive DEIB strategy aligned with the company's mission and values.
Conduct regular assessments of current DEIB practices, policies, and procedures and recommend improvements to promote equity and inclusivity.
Design and deliver training programs on topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, unconscious bias, cultural competence, and allyship for employees at all levels.
Partner with HR to ensure equitable recruitment, hiring, and retention practices, including implementing strategies to attract and retain diverse talent.
Serve as a resource and provide guidance to employees and managers on DEIB-related issues, including discrimination, harassment, and accommodations.
Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, community groups, and professional associations to enhance our DEIB initiatives and promote our employer brand.
Collect and analyze data on DEIB metrics, such as representation, employee engagement, and retention, and use insights to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Stay informed about best practices, trends, and legislation related to DEIB and recommend proactive measures to address emerging issues.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, sociology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, or related roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of DEIB concepts, principles, and best practices, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing equity and social justice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
