The Associate Director - IT and ITSS will oversee the overall performance and direction of the IT function within Client services India, collaborating closely with group companies and external client stakeholders.

This role requires ensuring that service delivery meets agreed KPIs and SLAs, while maintaining a strong internal control framework on IT.

The person will work closely with Operating entities' IT function to build IT teams supporting clients internally and through select partners and external clients.

As a member of the Leadership Team, this role plays a critical part in building client service capability and standards, supporting the development and sustainability of AMHS by ensuring service delivery excellence.

This position has matrix reporting – locally reporting directly to CEO, Client Services and also to one of the group companies, CTO/CIO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology - Function Leadership: Manage and grow the IT shared services team, ensuring smooth delivery of day-to-day IT operations for client operating entities and external clients.

Responsibilities include finalizing and implementing an operating model for IT operations, covering areas such as Azure infrastructure, security & Network, Testing, IT Help Desk, Database management, Application development and maintenance, BI report development, Devices management, and IT Policies, Data Protection.

  • Lead the team of IT professionals to ensure that overall delivery of services is within agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Drive IT specific programs (digital transformation, automation, integration, and emerging technologies) requirements with support from central team and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Act as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Client Services.
  • Work closely with AMH Op-cos for all IT related specific requirements for client.
  • Ensure timely communication to employees related to IT.
People Management:
  • Continuously strive to build a culture of high-performance.
  • Foster effective teamwork and builds collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Manage the performance of the IT team.
  • Provide constant feedback, training, and coaching to team members for high performance.
Service Excellence and Stakeholders Management:
  • Ensure that overall delivery of services to Op-cos meets or exceeds agreed KPIs and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and AMHS, and is within a strong internal control framework on IT.
  • Partner with onshore stakeholders and Service Management team to develop and track Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure service delivery excellence.
  • Facilitate service transition when required.
    • Deal with Internal Customer and Supplier issues in accordance with the escalation process and push back where necessary.
    • Work closely on IT Disaster Recovery plan with operating entities.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Create a mindset of innovation aimed at constantly challenging the norm to drive business value.
  • Ensure a disciplined approach to operational excellence/performance management is in place and evolves over time.
  • Drive ongoing continuous improvement within IT boundaries to improve profitability.
Skills & Desired Experience:
  • A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in managing a client-service oriented IT function, preferably in an IT or Business shared service setup.
  • Experience in management of large corporate initiatives/projects, strategic thinking, relationship management, processes, recruiting, developing, coaching, and monitoring employees.
  • Ability to think strategically, taking a balanced short and long-term view when solving problems.
  • Strong Program Management skills on IT or IT Transformation project with knowledge of multiple emerging technologies, coming up with alternate/innovative solutions.
  • Collaborative, result-oriented, with a high level of motivation for self-growth, along with the drive for growing team members and overall organization.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience working in services industry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
  • To drive and get work done from people not directly reporting in a collaborative manner.
  • Flexibility to manage teams working in different time zones (US and UK) and work from office.
Education & Relevant Experience:
  • Post-graduation in IT. Further, IT specific and PMP certifications will be an advantage.
  • Past experience to set up IT shared services team will be preferred.
  • Information security certification (CISA/CISSP), data privacy certification will be a plus.
