Basic Purpose

:Under the supervision of the Senior Associate, the Associateeffectively manages daily processes and system applications toensure consistent quality service is delivered by the team.Responsibilities:An Associate 2 is responsible for the following :Responsible for training new team membersHelps identify training needs in relation to new processesand productsProvides coverage for team members during vacationsand illnessAssists management with the day to day operation of theteamConsistently reviews operational proceduresSupports team during corporate and external auditsParticipates in special projects as requiredAssist with all management reportingDemonstrates competencies in own area and in generalbusiness principles; may still be acquiring higher skill levelWorks on practical tasks to established proceduresTypically works with moderate guidance, accountable forindividual results and impact on work groupDuring the course of normal day-to-day operation, responsiblefor identifying any unusual or potentially suspicioustransaction activity and reporting and/or escalating inaccordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed inrelevant operating proceduresDeepening knowledge/skill in one skill area or broadeningability over a variety of skillsApplies knowledge/skills to a variety of standard day to dayactivities; knows when to refer to others; handles a variety oftasks within own areaBusiness Unit Specific SkillsBachelors Degree or equivalent experienceApproximately two years related financial services industryexperienceDemonstrate strong Client service skillsStrong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong written/verbal communication skillsProven time management skills.Ability to work both independently and in a team environmentDemonstrates potential for leadershipPrevious training experience preferred, but not requiredComputer proficient including working knowledge of desktopsoftware applications (e.g., excel, word, access, etc)Client & Business OrientationInterprets client needs and works to meet those needs,offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues;may call on others for help in situations outside own area ofknowledgeUnderstands the key business practices relating to own area;uses this knowledge to focus and improve own workIdentifies the problem and all relevant issues instraightforward situations; generates possible solutions,assesses each using standard procedures and makes a sounddecisionWorking RelationshipsProbes and listens carefully, presents information clearly andin appropriate style, makes technical information clear,persuades others in straightforward situationsContributes actively in team activities, sharing experience andideasBuilds useful working relationships outside own area
