Primary Duties

• Ensure safe and efficient operations to meet production targets
• Manage and lead the operations team and support first line maintenance
• Provide a reporting and performance monitoring function to the client/senior
management
• Establish the necessary planning and co-ordination systems to ensure that the
production availability meets the required performance targets
• Ensure that the integration of services across the asset are utilized most
effectively
• Perform a variety of audit and monitoring functions to establish that safe and
best practice is implemented in the work assigned
• Communicate, direct and co-ordinate activities to provide a focal point for the
operations team members
• Interface with other Team leaders on all aspects of intrusive maintenance and
safe isolation and reinstatement procedures
• Safe isolation of wells for intervention crew activities and reinstatement
• Participate in weekly planning meeting for scheduling
• Direct work of team to ensure safe and efficient running of plant equipment
and utilities with minimal environmental impact
• Assist the coordination of shutdown programmes, weekly planning and the
implementation of safety procedures and practices
• Ensure optimization and efficiency of systems in order to meet production
targets taking into account maintenance and inspection requirements
• Ensure team awareness of plant status by using log books, toolbox talks,
handovers etc.
• Ensure relevant work audits e.g. Permit to Work, Safety Audits etc. are
completed
• Monitor and audit relevant records, registers, log books, and generates
required reports

• Liaise with support team, vendors, as required to ensure smoother and
efficient production operations
• Ensure compliance to Company procedures and controls and statutory
regulations, including assurance activities

Decision Making Authority
• Performance management of team & individuals
• Team training & development including CPP
• Contractor performance management
• Ensure competence and appropriate training for all members of the operations
and maintenance teams within the appropriate Company management
procedures

Supervisory Responsibility
• Enforce operating practices that deliver excellence in HS&E/ COW standards
• Ensure that work is properly planned and scheduled to minimise the impact on
production
• Ensure that proper coordination occurs between Operations, Projects and
Maintenance
• Demonstrate team performance to execute work efficiently and safely through
production KPI’s

Minimum Requirement
• Recognized apprenticeship or training scheme
• Minimum HNC or NVQ level 3 equivalent preferred
• 10 years oil and gas field production operations experience including a
minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• Good team working and communication skills
• Self-motivated, receptive to change and capable of working effectively within
a team environment
• Able to add value by being innovative and challenging existing systems
• Perform in an emergency response role as defined by the Incident Management
Procedures
