Key Requirements:


1. Work Experience:


• 12-16 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.

• Significant experience working in product companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.


2. Team Management:


• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of approximately 50 engineers.

• Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and fostering a positive work culture.


3. Technical Expertise:


• Proficient in a variety of technologies, including Node.js, Java, React.js, and Elastic Search.

• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.


4. Product Development:


• Proven experience in overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery.

• Ability to align engineering efforts with product goals and customer needs.


5. Educational Background:


• Graduated from a Tier-2 college with a degree in engineering or a related field.


6. Office Commitment:


• Willingness to work from the office, contributing to a collaborative work environment.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:


• Lead and inspire a team of engineers to achieve project goals and deadlines.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous improvement.


2. Project Management:


• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software projects.

• Ensure that projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.


3. Technical Guidance:


• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into the development process.


4. Collaboration:


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product delivery.


5. Performance Evaluation:


• Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback.

• Identify and address skill gaps through training and mentorship.


6. Budget Oversight:


• Manage and optimize the engineering budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.


7. Strategic Thinking:


• Ability to contribute to the development of the overall product strategy and align engineering efforts accordingly.

• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap.


8. Quality Assurance:


• Ensure the implementation of robust quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, reliable products.

• Implement best practices for testing and quality control throughout the development cycle.


9. Cross-functional Collaboration:


• Work closely with other departments, including product management, design, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and successful product strategy.


10. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


• Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into product development.
