Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Head to lead and manage all solar-related projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, including tendering, execution, delivery, and maintenance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and expertise in solar project management to ensure successful and timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of solar projects, from feasibility studies and tender preparation to project delivery and commissioning.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  1. Tendering and Bid Management:
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tenders for solar projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and financial inputs for tender proposals.
  1. Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders to drive project success.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  1. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all projects comply with local and international regulations, standards, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards of performance.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training as needed to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in solar project management, including tendering, execution, and delivery.
  • Proven experience in handling large-scale solar projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of solar technologies, installation processes, and project lifecycle management.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Familiarity with government policies and schemes related to solar energy.
