Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple DevOps tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Hands-on experience in CI/CD, automated testing, and all phases of the SDLC.
  • Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Design and implement solutions in Azure DevOps.
  • Manage Source Control, including branching, integration, and merging techniques.
  • Perform integrations for production builds and server hot fixes.
  • Work with ALM tools and Source Control systems (GIT, Azure DevOps/VSTS).
  • Build and maintain DevOps pipelines for automated deployments with CI/CD workflows.
  • Utilize software build and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Implement static code analysis and security checks with tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, WizCLI.
  • Apply security best practices across the software development lifecycle.
  • Define and implement end-to-end provisioning automation solutions.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Work with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
  • Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Integrate systems using protocols like REST, SOAP, MQ, TCP/IP, JSON, etc.
  • Understand customer requirements and align delivery to project KPIs.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers and analysts.

Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of IT experience with at least 2+ years in automation of IT administration/processes.
  • 35 years of experience with Azure DevOps (Build and Deployment pipelines).
  • 3+ years of cloud architecture and design experience, with proven automation expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform), and config management tools.
  • Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with security scanning and code quality tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and mentoring skills.
