We’re looking for a creative and seasoned Operations Maestro to lead the charge of gelato operations. You'll be working behind the scenes to help keep the magic of our treats flowing smoothly with utmost precision and care. You will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, manage a team of dedicated production staff and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.


Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to production schedules
  • You’re confident in developing and maintaining a detail-oriented logistic flow from sourcing ingredients to serving the final product
  • Lead and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock rotation
  • Establish a robust quality assurance system and conduct regular quality checks to uphold the highest quality standards for our products
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and create a safe working environment for all employees
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality and safety
  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and improve production efficiency, quality and other areas


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in food production or manufacturing management, with a preference for candidates with experience in an intensive operations environment
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • You’re a self-starter with a "can-do" attitude who is not afraid to take risks
  • You appreciate startup culture; are willing to wear multiple hats and take on diverse roles
  • Comfort with Excel and data analysis
