Pepper ( is building India’s largest content marketplace that brings companies and content creators together to scale up content creation processes across 10 content verticals and 150+ content categories, 40+ content verticals, and 40+ global languages.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEO Account Director to join our team and lead our client engagements. The SEO Account Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic SEO initiatives, managing client relationships, and driving measurable results for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing SEO campaigns for clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, build strong relationships, and understand their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement customized SEO strategies aligned with client goals, leveraging industry best practices, market trends, and competitive insights to drive organic search growth.3. Campaign Execution: Oversee the execution of SEO campaigns, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO audits, link building, and content strategies, to improve website rankings and drive organic traffic.4. Performance Monitoring: Monitor SEO performance metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data to measure campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and optimize strategies for maximum results.5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, designers, and analysts, to ensure seamless execution of SEO initiatives and deliver integrated solutions that align with client objectives.6. Client Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, campaign insights, and strategic recommendations to clients, demonstrating the value of our SEO efforts and providing actionable insights for improvement.7. Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies in SEO and digital marketing to continuously innovate and enhance our service offerings.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.- Minimum 6 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of managing SEO campaigns and delivering results for clients.- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO best practices.- Experience managing client relationships, with excellent communication and presentation skills.- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and derive actionable insights.- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.- Certifications such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, or SEO-specific certifications are a plus.
