About Mental Health Division:   Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.  About the Role: Northern Health is seeking dynamic Enrolled Nurses to work on Ward 7, which is Northern Health’s Women’s Mental Health Unit.  The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and has a well-established understanding of a broad range of mental health diagnosis as well as physical health issues to provide care for adult female consumers in an acute inpatient setting. They will practice generally under indirect supervision and has the capacity to critically analyse situations utilising clinical assessments and comprehensive approaches to management of consumers with complex behaviours. The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse will demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of best practice in mental health treatment with a consumer-centred care focus. Comprehensive assessments and the development of nursing care plans and risk management plans and communication with colleague’s feedback to RN, support of families will be part of typical duties. These roles are rotating shifts including night shift. We currently have a range of employment opportunities, including full-time and part-time roles, as well as fixed-term and ongoing positions.
