Job Summary:
As a Senior Architect in Android Development, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to create scalable and efficient mobile solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Android architecture, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex Android applications.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high coding standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.
Develop and enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Integrate third-party libraries and APIs to enhance application functionality.
Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement APIs and data synchronization mechanisms.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of applications.
Contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the mobile development team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Senior Architect or Senior Developer in Android Development.
Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant development tools.
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with backend services.
Familiarity with modern Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud services and mobile backend as a service (MBaaS) platforms.
Familiarity with security best practices in mobile application development.
Experience with other mobile development platforms (iOS) is a plus.
