Who are we looking for?

We are looking for experienced
ESG Consultants
to join our exclusive talent pool of highly skilled experts for upcoming projects with a
mid-sized private equity fund in India
. The consultants will play a critical role in strengthening ESG practices across the fund and its portfolio companies, working directly with leadership teams, DFIs, and LPs.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a significant impact through
sustainability, governance, and compliance expertise
while helping portfolio companies align with global ESG best practices.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ESG frameworks, policies, and monitoring systems.
  • Collect, track, and analyze ESG data across portfolio companies (including field visits).
  • Support due diligence and risk assessments with ESG insights.
  • Prepare investor and LP reporting, ensuring alignment with global ESG standards.
  • Collaborate with DFIs, LPs, and portfolio leadership on ESG initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving ESG regulations and industry practices.
  • Provide strategic inputs to fund management and portfolio companies on sustainability-driven growth.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Sustainability, or related fields.
  • 4–8 years of experience in
    ESG, sustainability consulting, corporate responsibility, or compliance
    .
  • Background with leading institutions such as
    CRISIL, ICICI, Morgan Stanley, or impact funds (Aavishkaar, True North, Northern Arc, Lok Capital)
    would be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards, frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership and investors.
  • Experience in sustainable finance, risk & compliance, or ratings is highly valued.

Based in Mumbai

6 months (with potential for extension or full-time conversion)
