Job Description Your Career We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Release Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This is a hands-on technical role focused on build and release management (environment management - build & refresh, DevOps/DevSecOps, Release Management) embedding security and AI-driven automation into our delivery processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving release quality, minimizing downtime, and enhancing security. Your Impact Environment Management: Manage environment builds, zero-downtime refresh strategies for IT environments ensuring stability, compliance, and secure handling of data. Release Management Excellence: Manage and coordinate release activities across IT programs, embedding best practices for quality and security. Secure Release Practices: Strengthen the release process by embedding security and code quality tools to ensure security and compliance from build through deployment. Hands-On Automation Development: Build and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Shell Script, Java, and JavaScript to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and standardize environment maintenance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure stable environments with latest data, align on release planning, and ensure delivery of high-quality programs. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance to Associate Engineers on best practices in release management, automation scripting, and DevOps processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Continuous Improvement: Research, evaluate, and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and AI-driven practices to continuously enhance release efficiency, environment reliability, and security posture. Drive AI-First SDLC: Champion and integrate an "AI-First" mindset throughout the software development lifecycle, influencing how we build, test, and release software.Qualifications Your Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in Release engineering, DevOps, and environment management. Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Shell Script, JavaScript and Java or a similar object-oriented language. Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness), Git-based workflows, and branching strategies. Experience with security and code quality tools. Exposure to environment refresh/masking for enterprise platforms. Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira. Exposure to application architecture and working knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, Microservices is preferred. Hands-on AI Fluency - pair and delegated programming, AI for productivity and automation; Exposure to building agents is good-to-have.
