Position: DGM/ Sr. Manager - O&M Manager – Battery Energy Storage Solution

Location: Gurgaon. This is an HQ-based role but traveling is involved.

Qualifications Required for This Role:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering


Experience Required:

  • 12 - 20 years of overall experience within the renewable energy sector.
  • Extensive experience in installation and commissioning, operations, maintenance, performance testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysis (RCA)/failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for lithium battery-based energy storage solutions at grid-scale renewable project sites.
  • Practical experience with LT, HT, EHT voltage systems.


Job Description:

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, performance testing, monitoring, and routine O&M of energy storage system (ESS) solutions, power conversion systems (PCS), transformers, switchgear, and associated electrical systems at grid-scale renewable project sites.
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and perform comprehensive RCA/FMEA to identify and address any operational issues.
  • Analyze performance data to ensure optimal functioning of the ESS and electrical components.
  • Prepare and send reports to track system performance and up-time.
  • Maintain system up-time and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) as outlined in project tender requirements.
  • Develop and provide training to the O&M team to enhance their technical expertise and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts to ensure minimal downtime and seamless operations and coordinate with vendors for RCA, process improvements.
  • Cost reduction initiatives.
  • Undertake frequent travel to various renewable project sites as needed.
