Product Compliance Engineer

The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:  Roles & Responsibilities: Supporting the Environmental Compliance supplier outreach program. Complete compliance assessments in SAP and the EHSM module. Review, Evaluate, Process, and Release Sales Orders blocked for environmental compliance in EHSM tool. Maintaining the validity of existing regulatory certification, listings, licenses, and registrations for products. Provide support to the Engineering team with respect to product certification. Immediately report the incidents and near misses to the direct reports and HSE department. STOP WORK - Immediately shut down the operation when realized life or serious injury risk present. Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the direct leader/manager assigns verbally or in writing. Required Skills (Technical Competency): Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering from an accredited university or college English (fluent) Good command over Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) Have demonstrated prior experiences in Regulatory Compliance and/or in Technical Regulations and Standards Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Have established project management skills Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Desired Skills: Knowledge about EU REACH and RoHS compliance Knowledge about other Environmental Compliance related regulations (PFAS, EU Battery, India Battery, China RoHS, etc.) SAP system experience Experience in Technical Regulations and Standards and/or experience in the design of electrical and electronic products Have demonstrated prior experiences in certifying hazardous environment products to standards including US/CAN and ATEX/IECEx/UKEX for Class I Div 1/Div 2; Zone 0/Zone 1/Zone 2. Additional familiarity with Intrinsically Safe designs for use in Explosive Atmospheres is highly desirable. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work. Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early. Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
