SCOPE:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a strong background in cable design and technical expertise to join Ducab India as a Technical Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for independently designing standard and custom cables that adhere to customer requirements and international specifications while optimizing manufacturing costs. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are accurate, cost-effective, and support competitive tendering. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design standard and non-standard cables and prepare precise cable construction drawings using a cable design software. AutoCAD experience is also preferred.
  • Manage design and production orders in SAP, ensuring timely integration into production schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers and EPC contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance to new staff on cable design and SAP.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Over 3 years of professional experience in cable testing and design within the manufacturing industry, with ERP system exposure (SAP preferred).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Cable Design Software and SAP for cable construction drawings and design management.
  • Strong time management, communication, and design engineering skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in cable manufacturing with a focus on ERP-integrated processes.
  • Proven ability to meet customer specifications and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
