Maintenance Executive

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Bengaluru, India, running the Mid-Day Meal Programme in over 24,000 government and government-aided schools across 16 states and 2 union territories. Serving 2.1 million children every school day, Akshaya Patra has cumulatively provided over 3.5 billion meals since its inception in 2000. The foundation has also addressed various crisis situations, including floods, cyclones, earthquakes, and the COVID-19 pandemic, through initiatives such as food relief and incentivized vaccination drives.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Executive located in Warangal. The Maintenance Executive will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the smooth functioning of all facilities. Daily tasks will include managing repairs, performing preventive maintenance, inspecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The executive will also coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance services and take immediate action to address any operational disruptions.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspection
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Ability to manage vendor and contractor relationships
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in facilities management or a related field is a plus
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
