About the ClientOur client is developing anext-generation design automation platformthat is revolutionizing the way buildings are conceived and delivered. Their platform empowers developers, architects, and engineers to generate informed, buildable designs inminutes instead of months . With applications across data centres, residential, and industrial projects, the company is at the frontier ofAI, design automation, and computational engineering .They are seeking anexperienced MEP Engineerwith a passion for computational design, BIM technology, and automation to join their growing team. This role bridgestraditional engineering expertise with cutting-edge digital workflows , offering the opportunity to shape the future of design technology.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, engineers, and software developers) to deliver digital solutions that meet customer and industry requirements.Partner with product leaders and customers to define requirements for building services design, ensuring objectives are aligned with end-user needs.Perform complexelectrical systems design , including LV/HV applications, load flow calculations, and electrical component sizing.Define and codify rules, constraints, and heuristics forMEP layouts, space planning, and system optimization .Develop computational design prototypes and workflows that integrate with BIM systems.Collaborate with software engineers to design, test, and validate algorithms that automate engineering processes.Ensure outputs are practical, code-compliant, and compatible with downstream design and delivery workflows.Contribute to theproduct roadmap , bringing insights from industry experience to influence new features across MEP, structural, and architectural domains.RequirementsBachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering(or similar), with at least5 years of experiencein electrical design for building projects (data centres, residential, or industrial).Experience indesign consultancyand cross-discipline coordination (MEP, architectural, structural).Strong understanding ofsustainability and energy efficiency principlesin design.Proficiency inBIM workflows(e.g., Revit, IFC standards, Dynamo, or similar).Ability to translate engineering knowledge intorules, constraints, and logical frameworks .Familiarity with computational design, optimisation methods, or software development workflows.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with engineers, software developers, and product stakeholders.Experience with parametric/generative modelling and scripting tools (e.g., Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper) is aplus .Why JoinBe at theforefront of design automation technology , directly shaping the future of how buildings are engineered.Work on impactful, high-scale projects acrossdata centres, residential, and industrial sectors .Join a culture that valuescollaboration, curiosity, and ownership , where your contributions directly influence outcomes.Build digital expertise while gaining exposure toAI, computational design, and automation technologies .Pro5 is a global platform helping thousands of vetted professionals get hired by top employers.See what others say on our publicGoogle Reviewsand learn how we keep your data safe in ourTrust Center .
