TheHead – MEP Designwill be responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing all aspects of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire-Fighting) design and coordination across the company’s real estate projects. The role involves ensuring innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable design solutions that align with architectural intent, statutory requirements, and project timelines. Key Roles & Responsibilities Lead and manage theend-to-end MEP design process, from concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and cost targets. Coordinate seamlesslywith architectural, structural, and project management teams to ensure proper integration of MEP systems within the overall design framework. Review and approvedesign drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and tender documents prepared by internal teams or external consultants. Providetechnical leadershipand mentorship to the MEP design team, fostering innovation, efficiency, and adherence to industry best practices. Ensurecompliance with local and international codes and standards(e.g., NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IS Codes). Conductsite visits and design validation inspectionsto ensure that MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved designs. Liaise withexternal consultants, vendors, and contractorsto resolve technical issues and optimize design efficiency. Overseevalue engineering exercisesto optimize cost, energy efficiency, and sustainability without compromising functionality. Collaborate with the procurement and project execution teams toevaluate MEP equipment and materials, ensuring technical suitability and commercial viability. Lead theimplementation of BIM and digital design toolsfor enhanced design accuracy, coordination, and documentation. Prepareperiodic reports and presentationsfor management on design progress, design risks, and key technical decisions.Preferred Candidate Profile Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience:12–17 years of experience in MEP design and coordination within thereal estate or construction industry, preferably with exposure tolarge-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Strong expertise inHVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systemsdesign and integration. Proficiency inAutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other design software. Excellent understanding ofbuilding services design principles, sustainability standards, and green building concepts. Proven ability tolead multidisciplinary teams, manage consultants, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
