Overview:

We are a prominent software company delivering cutting-edge solutions across the healthcare sector. We are looking for an experienced IT Administrator whose primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing the security of our IT infrastructure. This role is vital for protecting our data and systems against potential threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our software development processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Security Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security protocols to safeguard all IT systems and data.
  • Conduct thorough security audits and continuous monitoring to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage security appliances such as firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection systems to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a secure IT environment for both internal operations and client interfaces.
  • Firewall Management:
  • Configure, manage and monitor the Fortinet gateway firewall to protect against external and internal threats.
  • Implement advanced security policies and intrusion prevention systems on the firewall to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Conduct regular firewall audits and updates to ensure optimal performance and compliance with the latest security protocols.
  • Active Directory Management:
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of Active Directory objects, including user accounts, security groups, and distribution lists.
  • Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and software configurations across the network.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of Active Directory data, including performing regular backups and recovery processes.
  • System and Peripheral Configuration:
  • Configure and maintain hardware components like servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot software and hardware drivers to ensure compatibility and optimum performance.
  • Manage inventory and documentation of hardware and software resources.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance across all IT systems.
  • Network Management
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous network availability.
  • Configure VPNs and other remote access solutions to facilitate secure and reliable external access to the network.
  • Office 365 and Collaboration Tools Management:
  • Oversee the administration of Office 365 and other collaboration tools to ensure seamless communication and productivity across teams.
  • Ensure all cloud-based services are configured to meet stringent security guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Administer and optimize virtual machines and cloud infrastructure to support scalable application deployment and development environments.
  • Monitor cloud services and virtual environments to ensure they are secure, efficient, and compliant with all regulations.
  • Data Management and Protection:
  • Design robust backup and restoration strategies to safeguard critical data across client and server systems.
  • Regularly test backup systems to ensure quick recoverability and adherence to data integrity standards.
  • User Support and Training:
  • Provide second-level support to the help desk to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Train end-users and staff on new technologies and IT security practices.
  • Facilitate communication between IT and other departments to support project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems configurations, processes, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to data privacy and IT security.
  • Prepare and maintain IT reports, dashboards, and metrics to assess system performance and plan improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security management.
  • Profound knowledge of modern network and internet security technologies.
  • Experience in managing Active Directory, network layers, and endpoint security.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud security frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
