We are looking for: We are looking for: Microsoft Fabric Platform Architect Location: Anywhere in India Duration: Long Term Microsoft Fabric Platform Architect Experience Level : Senior / Architect (10+ years preferred) Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Fabric Platform Architect to lead the end-to-end management and governance of the Microsoft Fabric platform within a centralized managed services model. This role is not focused on developing individual solutions, but rather on owning the platform , enabling use case teams, and ensuring enterprise-wide adoption, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across all Microsoft Fabric workloads and will be responsible for driving platform strategy, onboarding teams, enforcing standards, and maintaining platform health, security, and governance. Key Responsibilities Platform Ownership & Enablement Own and manage the Microsoft Fabric platform across all domains, including OneLake , Lakehouses , Pipelines , Notebooks , Power BI , Data Activator , and Real-Time Analytics . Set up and maintain workspaces , capacities , domains , and gateways to support scalable and secure analytics across the organization. Drive platform adoption by onboarding use case teams, guiding them through architecture patterns, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Governance & Compliance Define and enforce platform governance policies , including data lineage , access control , naming conventions , workspace standards , and security protocols . Collaborate with enterprise security and compliance teams to ensure data privacy , audit readiness , and regulatory compliance . Implement and manage Unity Catalog or equivalent governance frameworks for metadata management and data stewardship. Monitoring & Optimization Set up and maintain platform health monitoring , capacity utilization dashboards , and alerting mechanisms . Conduct regular audits , spot checks , and performance reviews to ensure platform reliability and efficiency. Drive cost optimization strategies across compute, storage, and licensing. Cross-Team Collaboration & Guidance Act as the central point of contact for all teams using Microsoft Fabric, providing architectural guidance, onboarding support, and technical enablement. Develop and maintain technical documentation , including platform standards , best practices , operational playbooks , and training materials . Facilitate workshops, office hours, and enablement sessions to educate teams on Fabric capabilities and usage patterns. Innovation & Strategic Leadership Stay current with Microsoft Fabric roadmap and proactively evaluate new features for enterprise adoption. Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilot programs to validate platform enhancements and integrations. Contribute to enterprise data strategy by aligning Fabric platform capabilities with business goals and IT roadmap. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric platform architecture and administration . Deep understanding of all Fabric workloads: Data Engineering , Power BI , Real-Time Analytics , Data Activator , and OneLake . Strong background in platform governance , security , data lineage , and compliance . Experience managing multi-domain data mesh architectures and decentralized data ownership models. Proficiency in Azure , Power Platform , DevOps , and enterprise monitoring tools . Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or equivalent. Experience in managing platforms in regulated industries (e.G., healthcare, finance).
