With a successful launch of multiple phones in India – HMD Global is planning to expand its team.
As we continue to expand out team, HMD India is looking for Procurement Manager for overall vendor management, benchmarking and negotiation of the most efficient and optimal cost structure for all indirect spend categories (i.e. Marketing, IT, Care, Sales operations, HR etc) for HMD. The resource will be responsible to work with stakeholders to independently identify and strategize vendor management solutions across spend categories and come up with out of the box solutions to drive cost efficiency in the organization. The resource will be responsible to drive vendor selection process, contract negotiations, formal bidding/request for proposal process, contracting upto the point of vendor onboarding.

Roles and Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for:
Focus on following key procurement initiatives:
- Driving RFPs for spend as per Company Spend Policy
- Spend consolidation and implement a rate card by building Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Work as a conduit between Vendors and stakeholders for understanding scope of work, coordinate vendor discussions, expectation setting and deliverables
- Vendor negotiations, selection, onboarding, contracting and supporting seamless execution
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the category spend from procurement perspective.
Others
- Compliance – Drive a strong rhythm of compliance in the vendor space, ensure compliance to organizational spend related policies and 'Green' scorecard during audits
- Direct sourcing –
-Responsible for E2E closure of EMS Financial Recons
-Check PLI Settlements from EMS Internal
-Month end activities pertaining to said recons
- Own, drive & track the completion of various industry specific statutory requirements like E-waste, BWM & PWM by engaging with partners & vendors
- To track, monitor and implement any changes in Cost centre and approval matrix for PR approval process
- Drive implementation of any tools / accounting systems / changes for the India Region from P2P process perspective

Knowledge, Skills, Language and Abilities
- 10+ year experience with strong experience in Sourcing/Procurement function.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Relevant experience in similar role or in Mobile / Telecom / FMCG / Consumer Durable industry
- Fluent in English and good at MS Excel and Power point and communication skills
- MBA preferred
- Should have the experience and ability to independently drive RFP projects and confidence to deal with senior stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with cross functional teams- both India and global is a key requirement.
