Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join our team in the cosmetic manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for maintaining optimal inventory levels while ensuring cost-effectiveness. This role will be pivotal in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and other supplies essential for our cosmetic production lines from mainly India, China and other countries
Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy : Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production needs while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers who can consistently deliver high-quality raw materials, packaging, and other supplies required for cosmetic manufacturing.
- Negotiation : Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and packaging to prevent shortages or overages, utilizing inventory management systems to track stock levels and forecast future requirements.
- Purchase Orders : Generate purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance : Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that purchased materials meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation : Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain a reliable supply chain.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply shortages, quality issues, or supplier disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to cosmetic manufacturing (e.g., FDA regulations, GMP).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the cosmetic manufacturing industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Adaptability and resilience to navigate challenges and changes in the supply chain.
