Position: Quality Control Consultant

Location: Jodhpur


Job Summary:

The Quality Control Consultant is to provide consulting and audit services to handicraft and furniture exporters. Work with large customers to help in their quality assurance processes with respect to finishing of furniture. Set up an easy and repeatable finishing process, Identify early points of failures that can be avoided, help save time and re-work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Finishing audit and documentation
  2. Material safety audits
  3. Process improvements
  4. New Finishes
  5. Workshop on coating and finishing
  6. Technical compliance related to finishes
  7. If any finish rework - analyse and report
  8. Help set up a testing lab 
Qualifications:

Education: PG in Wood technology from Forest Research Institute (FRI) or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control in the handicraft/ furniture export industry.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards and regulations for handicrafts and furniture.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
