Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) at D Kamdar & Co., located on-site in Mumbai. The CITO will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT strategy and infrastructure of the company. Day-to-day tasks will include managing IT operations, ensuring IT security, developing and implementing IT policies, overseeing technology projects, and providing guidance to the IT team. The CITO will also collaborate with other departments to ensure the alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT strategy and infrastructure management
• Strong background in IT security, governance, and risk management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Min. 5 yrs in Senior IT Management positions
• Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures
• Proficiency in overseeing technology projects and IT operations
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP) are a plus
• Manufacturing/ Logistics industry experience is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Expertise in system design and implementation with functional background in operations management.
• Financial and accounting exposure will be added advantage.
• Management experience of software development people and processes is important.

Reporting to the top management team with primary responsibility of providing high quality IT services to internal customers:

• Operations
• Finance and Accounting

IT Services Management areas:

• IT Infrastructure through a Manager and team of about 20 technical people

• Two large server environments – Data Centre and AWS

• Large network consisting of about 50 locations

• Large user systems – more than 1500 machines

• Sophisticated data security systems

• DR sites and business continuity processes

 Business Solutions Design and Implementation; we are on Etendo ERP systems

• Warehouse Management Systems

• Transport Management Systems

• Customer Relationship Management Systems

• Accounting and Financial Management Systems

• Sophisticated Data Integration / Interchanges with client IT systems – SAP and other systems

• Focus on IT based automation in business processes is critical

 Management of Software Development through Tech Leads and a team of about 40 people. Software technology platforms are:

• Etendo ERP systems that is highly customized for logistics business

• Java and PostgreSQL Database

• Ionic for Mobile Applications, integrated with Etendo

• Data Integration framework using various APIs – SAP and others

• Robotic Process Applications (RPA)

• Tableau platform for BI and Data Analytics

 Accounts Management through a Manager and team of about 15 people

• External Customer interactions with their global teams for IT services requirement, solutions design - co-creation of client specific business needs and reaching technical agreements on data security, data integration / interchange and so on

• User Acceptance Testing and Implementation of solution including hyper care

 System support, including training and problem solving.

 Projects and Service Level Management through a manager and a small team dedicated to monitoring projects, service levels and resource utilization.
