Practice Area

 

The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.


What You'll Do

In Supply Chain topic of Ops PA, you will use your expertise & consulting skillset to help CEOs, Chief Supply Chain Officers and their teams solve their most pressing challenges and think about how digital and technology will change the shape of their business and supply chain strategy and operations.
You would help your clients answer questions such as “How can Data & Analytics help me take a quantum leap in my Supply Chain performance?”, “How can I build a resilient & sustainable supply chain to manage & mitigate disruptions better?”, “How can I better sense & deliver on my customers’ expectations with a segmented & targeted supply chain configuration?” and many more.
As a member of our team, you would work on a variety of these topics, applying your consulting skills to uplift clients’ supply chain performance.

 

As a Supply Chain PL you will be part of the Operations leadership team and will be directing and managing diverse consulting talent. You will manage and lead holistic supply chain programs for clients, from scoping the work to day-to-day execution to ensure successful delivery of client requirements within the scope of the engagement. Your role will be to help BCG and client teams succeed through thought leadership, team mentoring and business development, and clients will seek your advice on business issues that extend beyond the immediate scope of your project work. Finally, as a leader, you will contribute to BCG’s intellectual capital in the Supply Chain domain, shape industry leading thinking, contribute to the topic development and help build BCG’s brand as a Bionic Supply Chain leader.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry to join us. You would typically:


o Have led teams which have executed supply chain transformation projects across the areas mentioned above with clear outcome orientation at clients / in your own company across industries (consumer, industrial goods, healthcare / pharma etc.)
o Have authored thought leadership pieces on supply chain topics which have been published internally / externally
o Have been part of supply chain industry forums as a guest speaker / moderator
o Have led diagnostics / pitches to clients on supply chain transformation
o Have an outstanding academic track record from a leading university
o Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
