Position Summary:

The MEP Head is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and improvement of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within a running hospital. This role ensures optimal system functionality, compliance with regulations, and adherence to industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, extensive healthcare sector experience, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operation and maintenance of MEP systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Address MEP-related issues promptly with hospital staff.
  • Project Management:
  • Plan and manage upgrades or modifications to MEP systems.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and hospital administrators.
  • Design and Engineering:
  • Review and approve new MEP installations or modifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Optimize MEP system performance.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems.
  • Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary contact for MEP-related matters.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital administrators and staff.
  • Resolve MEP system conflicts or issues.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MEP systems.
  • Ensure continuous operation of critical MEP systems.
  • Implement strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications:
  • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college/institute.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare sector experience in MEP roles.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility requirements and standards.
  • Proven track record in managing and maintaining complex MEP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
