M Moser Associates is hiring a technically strong Architectural Designer with extensive workplace interiors project experience.

Job Overview

As an integral member of the Project Team, your job as a Architectural Designer with a focus on primarily workplace interiors with M Moser Associates is to generate ideas and advise clients/team members on technical design considerations throughout the entire project lifecycle of highly complex workplace projects.

Your expert technical knowledge and skills are necessary to the successful outcome of the project as early as Pre-Schematic phases and through to Construction services. With emphasis on architectural design, technical data and processes, quality control and efficient use of time and resources, you will work closely with designers to ensure design integrity can and will be maintained at all stages of the project.

The successful Architectural Designer will become the go-to person when it comes to using your high level technical/computer design skills to turn ideas into reality. An important part of your role is to ensure the design complies with all building codes and standards. You will be proactive in mitigating later issues by considering legal restrictions and complicated engineering and MEP detail from the very beginning of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Designers and other design staff to troubleshoot and provide technical solutions for design challenges
• Review engineering and MEP consultant's work to ensure compliance with design solution and timely submission of documents
• Respond to RFI's and RFQ's
• Ensure adherence to set budget and immediately inform the Project Manager and client of any potential variances to the budget
• Execute drawings for tender, drawing detailing and construction documentation
• For smaller projects, oversee all CD production and review
• Create a master log of the project submittals
• Ensure design complies with all applicable building codes and standards, helping other designers to take these restrictions into consideration during design phases

Job Requirements

As M Moser Associates' Architectural Designer, you are not only exceptionally skilled at executing highly technical drawings but you are driven and enthusiastic about your ability to deliver projects with an exceptional level of detail and accuracy. You may not necessarily be interested in concept design but it is important as our Architectural Designer, to be okay with design development through design detailing.

You will be excited to mentor junior staff, sharing your expertise on technical coordination aspects of a project. Importantly, our Architectural Designers are confident in their abilities to communicate their robust technical knowledge as they collaborate in a team of varying creative professionals.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

• 4-5 years experience working in a Workplace Design and/or Architecture firm in a similar capacity
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related (Master's preferred not necessary)
• Experience with entire project lifecycle
• Portfolio of technically complex corporate designs
• Able to quickly and readily generate concepts for workplace environment using advanced skills in a variety of software tools
• Ability to successful lead Project Team through project delivery: design details, construction documents, construction administration and site lead
• Possess strong architectural design and planning skills
