About Project AWARE Project AWARE advances Awareness, Readiness & Ethics in AI considering the unchecked rapid AI adoption that we have seen. We’re launching a pan-India study on how rapid AI adoption is shaping the future of work (FoW) and social mobility, short-term shifts and long-term outcomes across regions and communities. What you’ll do Run literature scans and prepare concise evidence memos. Help design surveys/interview guides; support data collection (remote). Analyse findings (basic quant/qual) and draft policy briefs & research notes. Map sectoral use-cases (law, education, health, gig work, public services, etc.). Uphold research ethics (consent, privacy) and maintain tidy documentation. You have Background/interest in public policy, economics, sociology, law, education, AI & society (students and early professionals welcome). Strong writing and synthesis; comfort with Google Docs/Sheets. Bonus: R/Python or STATA; fieldwork experience; proficiency in an Indian language in addition to English. Curiosity about equity—perspectives from marginalized communities are especially valued. What you get Certificate of Contribution (LoR possible based on output). Named credit; authorship on select outputs that meet contribution thresholds. Mentorship, weekly check-ins, and access to our research templates/toolkits. Important This is a volunteer, unpaid role with a flexible schedule.
